Pouzor e39ab7d530 fix: restore connection-handle magnet area (unclip node root)
The overflow-hidden added to the BaseNode root (to tame the oversized 16px
NodeResizer handles) also clipped the connection handles, which sit centred on
the node edge with half their box outside it. CSS overflow:hidden disables
pointer events in the clipped region, so the outer half of every handle — the
side an edge approaches from — became non-interactive, halving the magnet area.

- Remove overflow-hidden from the BaseNode root so handles stay fully grabbable.
- Shrink the NodeResizer handles 16px -> 8px (rounded): the reason the clip was
added in the first place, so the resizer no longer looks oversized when zoomed
  out without relying on clipping.
- Enlarge the invisible target (magnet) hit area 12px -> 20px.
- Set connectionRadius={30} on ReactFlow for stronger distance-based snapping.

Pouzor 738eac3ebb fix: restore node overflow-hidden (oversized resize handles)
Removing overflow-hidden from the BaseNode root un-clipped the NodeResizer
handles, making them huge (especially when zoomed out). Clipping was never what
made left/right connection points fail — that was backend persistence (fixed
separately) — and top/bottom handles have always worked while clipped. Restore
overflow-hidden so the resizer looks correct; side handles still work.

Pouzor 63e664efdd feat: widen node modal, two-column layout, unclip side handles
- NodeModal: widen to max-w-3xl; split into Information (left) and Design
(right) columns with headers; Notes moved to left as a resizable textarea
- Connection Points: spatial cross of -/N/+ steppers around a node preview
  (replaces the four stacked sliders)
- BaseNode: drop overflow-hidden from the node root so left/right handles are
no longer clipped to an ungrabbable sliver (inner sections keep their own
  clipping; rounded corners preserved)

Pouzor b708a08fd0 feat: customizable connection points per side (issue #243)
Generalize the bottom-only handle machinery to all four sides. Top/Bottom
keep their single-handle default; Left/Right are opt-in (default 0) so
existing diagrams render unchanged. Handle IDs stay keyed off the bare side
name at slot 0, keeping saved edges valid.

- handleUtils: side-generic API (handleId, handlePositions, clampHandles,
sideDefault, removedHandleIds, sideHandleCount); legacy bottom fns kept as
  delegating aliases
- BaseNode + ProxmoxGroupNode render all sides via new shared SideHandles
- updateNode remaps edges on any side's shrink (fallback to slot-0 / bottom)
- serializer round-trips top/left/right_handles
- NodeModal: spatial cross of -/N/+ steppers around a node preview, replacing
the four stacked sliders; seeds per-type defaults
- CustomStyleModal: per-type default connection points per side

Pouzor bcc488993d feat: per-service status checks with offline colouring
Adds optional live status checking per service (not just per node),
requested as a follow-up to issue #196.

Backend:
- New check_service / check_services: HTTP(S) GET for web services, TCP
connect otherwise; UDP and port-less non-web services stay 'unknown'.
- New scheduler job 'service_checks', independent interval (default 300s),
  added/removed live via set_service_checks_enabled.
- Settings gain service_check_enabled + service_check_interval (>=30s),
persisted to scan_config.json. New WS message type 'service_status'.

Frontend:
- Live per-service status overlay in canvasStore (not persisted, so it
never round-trips through canvas save), fed by the WS message.
- DetailPanel + canvas node service rows: offline service turns red
(#f85149), otherwise keeps its category colour.
- SettingsModal: toggle + interval input (default 300s / 5 min).

Off by default — no behaviour change until enabled.

Pouzor 1431f5b19e feat(canvas): raise switch port cap to 64, add port numbers and fibre edge type
Issue #20: bump MAX_BOTTOM_HANDLES 48 -> 64 (covers 48+4 SFP switches) and add
a per-node "Show Port Numbers" toggle that labels each bottom connection point.

Issue #21: add `fibre` as a first-class edge/connection type (bright cyan with a
subtle glow) alongside ethernet/wifi/iot/vlan/virtual/cluster - selectable in the
edge modal, themeable, registered in the React Flow edgeTypes registry, and
round-tripped through YAML import/export.

Backport of homelable-hacs PR #23.

Pouzor 3b0dbd7a8b feat(icons): add brand icon picker from dashboard-icons
Add a second tab in the node Icon picker to choose from the ~2250 brand
icons hosted by homarr-labs/dashboard-icons (Plex, Sonarr, Home
Assistant, etc.) served via jsDelivr CDN. The Generic tab keeps the
existing lucide picker unchanged.

Storage uses a 'brand:<slug>' prefix on custom_icon, so existing nodes
referencing lucide keys keep working with zero migration. A new
resolveCustomIcon helper returns a discriminated union (lucide | brand)
and a NodeIcon component centralizes rendering for both kinds.

Includes a manifest fetch script (scripts/fetch-dashboard-icons.mjs)
and a checked-in dashboardIcons.json snapshot.

Pouzor 43761c60cb feat(handles): allow 1-48 bottom connection points via slider
Replaces the 4-option dropdown with a 1..48 slider. Existing handle IDs
('bottom', 'bottom-2'..'bottom-4') are preserved and the hand-tuned pixel
positions for counts 1..4 are locked in (regression-tested) so saved
canvases render identically. Counts >=5 use uniform spacing; node card
auto-grows in width so handles stay clickable. Existing edge-remap on
shrink scales unchanged thanks to its index-based loop.

Pouzor a816faa0b9 fix: prevent node width expansion when content overflows after resize
Proxmox nodes with container_mode=false fell through both width conditions
in deserializeApiNode and got no explicit width on reload, causing RF to
auto-size to content width and ignoring the user's manual resize.

- canvasSerializer: unified width restore logic — saved width applies to all
node types; proxmox container_mode defaults (300x200) only kick in when
  no saved width exists
- BaseNode: add overflow-hidden + min-w-0 to properties row so truncate
actually clips long values instead of expanding the node

Pouzor ef96cafcc8 feat: IPv6 support and multi-IP per node (closes #60)
- maskIp handles IPv6 addresses (masks second and last group)
- maskIp handles comma-separated IP strings (masks each address)
- Add splitIps() helper to parse comma-separated IP field
- Add primaryIp() helper used by status checker (first IP wins)
- BaseNode renders each IP on its own line when comma-separated
- NodeModal placeholder shows comma-separated example
- Backend status_checker uses only first IP for connectivity checks
- Expand maskIp test suite: IPv6, comma-separated, splitIps, primaryIp

Pouzor 3d89ba3b6f feat: replace static hardware fields with dynamic node properties
Replaces the 4 fixed hardware columns (cpu_count, cpu_model, ram_gb,
disk_gb) with a flexible properties system. Each property has a key,
value, icon (from a curated Lucide picker), and a visibility toggle
that controls whether it appears on the canvas node card.

- Backend: add `properties` JSON column to Node model; data migration
converts existing hardware rows to properties with correct icons
(idempotent, old columns kept for safety)
- Backend: add `properties` to NodeBase, NodeUpdate, NodeSave schemas
and canvasSerializer so values survive canvas save/load
- Frontend: add NodeProperty type; new propertyIcons.ts registry (20
icons); BaseNode renders visible properties with legacy hardware
  fallback for unmigrated nodes
- Frontend: DetailPanel gains interactive properties section (add /
edit / remove / toggle visibility / icon picker) replacing the
read-only hardware block; hardware section removed from NodeModal
- Tests: 6 migration tests, 7 API tests, 8 DetailPanel property tests,
6 BaseNode render/fallback tests, 9 propertyIcons util tests

Pouzor 38c5bcb606 feat: configurable bottom handles, scanner rewrite, UI polish
## New features
- Configurable bottom connection points per node (1–4 handles)
- Fit view on load
- LiveView improvements
- Node modal: inline Type/Icon picker, default icon in trigger
- Remove redundant Save button from ScanConfigModal

## Scanner fixes
- Phase 1: replace nmap ARP sweep with concurrent asyncio ping sweep
(50 parallel pings, 1s timeout). Zero false positives, works in any
Docker network mode. Supplements with /proc/net/arp for ICMP-blocked devices.
- Phase 2: explicit -sS (root) / -sT (non-root) scan type; bump
  host-timeout to 60s; gather(return_exceptions=True) so one failing
  host doesn't abort the batch
- Fix 404 on missing device in hide/ignore
- Validate CIDR ranges to prevent nmap injection
- Thread-safe cancel set, pre-fetch canvas/hidden IPs (no N+1 queries)
- Logging: attach StreamHandler to root logger so app.* logs are visible

## Tests
- 21 backend scanner tests (ping sweep, ARP cache, Phase 2 tolerance)
- Full NodeModal coverage (53 tests)
- LiveView, store, edge label tests

Pouzor d829a4821e fix: use explicit source+hidden-target handles for reliable bidirectional snapping
source handles: visible, can initiate drag from top or bottom
target handles: invisible (opacity:0, 12x12px), overlap the source at same
position — React Flow detects them for snapping and shows visual feedback
without the user seeing a second dot. Ensures bottom→top connections work.
2026-03-08 13:10:25 +01:00
Pouzor be18bcc6d9 fix: add source+target handles at top and bottom so all snatch points work
connectionMode=loose alone does not reliably make source handles act as
drop targets. Each position now has both a source handle (to initiate
drag) and a target handle (to receive drops). They overlap visually as
one dot but support full bidirectional connections.
2026-03-08 12:26:21 +01:00
Pouzor 3e1edd9458 fix: make top handles type=source so connections can be dragged from them
React Flow only allows initiating a drag from type=source handles.
Top handles were type=target so users could never start a connection
from the top of any node. With connectionMode=loose, source-to-source
connections are already allowed, so all handles can now be source.

Pouzor d98bfba506 feat: add custom icon picker to node create/edit modal
- Add 65+ icons across 7 categories (Infrastructure, Media, Monitoring,
Storage, Security, Automation, Dev & Containers, Communications) covering
popular self-hosted apps: Home Assistant, Jellyfin, Plex, Grafana, Portainer,
Pi-hole, Vaultwarden, Gitea, Nextcloud, Node-RED, Frigate, etc.
- New nodeIcons.ts utility with ICON_REGISTRY, ICON_MAP and resolveNodeIcon()
- Inline icon picker in NodeModal: collapsible panel with search + grid grouped
by category; click to select, click again or Reset to revert to type default
- BaseNode uses resolveNodeIcon() so custom icon renders live on canvas
- Add custom_icon field to NodeData type, NodeBase/NodeUpdate schemas, Node ORM
model, and database.py idempotent ALTER TABLE migration

Pouzor 37c963cf96 feat: per-node custom color styling (border, background, icon)
- Add resolveNodeColors() utility merging type defaults with per-node overrides
- Default colors per node type (cyan=isp/router/lxc/ap, green=switch/nas,
  purple=server/vm, orange=proxmox, amber=iot, gray=generic)
- Remove glowColor prop from BaseNode — colors now come from node data
- ProxmoxGroupNode uses resolveNodeColors for group border/header/icon
- NodeModal: Appearance section with 3 color swatches (border, background, icon)
  — click swatch to open native color picker; Reset to defaults button
- custom_colors persisted as JSON in DB (backend model + schemas + migration)
- 7 new unit tests for resolveNodeColors covering all node types + partial overrides
